There is a workaround for this from the Motorola Edge 20 Lite forum.
This workaround was provided by @jackts with thanks to @Tal_Kenig who pointed me to it.
Follow these steps:
1)shut down phone
2)remove sims from phone
3)turn on phone
4)go to settings->apps>see all apps->tap top right 3 dots->show system apps
5)search carrier->disable carrier settings and carrier services
6) Remember to clear their app data
7) open settings app, go to system, go to reset and then reset mobile,wifi and bluetooth
8) shut phone down
9) reinsert sim and turn phone on
5G option shoujdl now be available
*this will disable VoWiFi & Native video calling
I had confirmation from Motorola UK technicians that this is a viable workaround, but one that does disable VoWifi. I had an Edge 20 Lite with this issue and this worked, and also a G200 in which this also resotored the 5G option.
